Revlon colour burst lip butter ♥ Red lip series part 1

Hey everyone, Red lips are one of my favorite things to wear and almost everyone I know always asks me why I have so many and that surely they're all the same. Well... No, No they are not! :')
There's gloss, matte, velvet, lip butter, sheen and so many others, not to mention blue undertones, yellow undertones, dark berry reds, corals.

There is just SO much to a red lipstick, especially if you're new to it. So hopefully, with my little red lip stick series, I'll show you some of my favorites, in different shades and finishes and hopefully it will clear things up for anyone a bit unsure on red lips :)

I'll kick my series off with one that I know has been VERY popular, and is a very good starting place for someone who is new to red lips, It's the Revlon colour burst lip butter in Candy Apple, which you can find 'here'.

This lip butter is so nice if you have dry lips but still want some colour on your lips. It has such a beautiful sheen on the lips, kind of like a gloss, but not as think or sticky. For a butter it's quite pigmented, while not being too in your face, so is a great red lippie to start with.
Top is a light swatch, bottom is a few layers

Because it is so moisturising and balm like, it doesn't have the greatest lasting power, about 2-3 hours, but it is so easy to apply, that you probably wouldn't even need a mirror, so topping it up is no trouble.

The colour is really buildable, so if you wanted a more subtle wash of colour, just a quick swipe across the lips will do, but a few layers and it can get quite bright, but still subtle at the same time

And then here is me wearing it
