The Body shop Vitamin E overnight serum-in-oil ♥ Review

My God that is a mouth full to say! But after you've finally got your tongue around saying it and get to try it, you will soon realise how AMAZING this stuff is.

I'll just give you a brief overview of what my skin is like, because obviously different skin types may respond differently to each other, but just so you get a bit more of an understanding of how it works.
I have combination dry skin, which over winter definitely leans more to the dry side, what with the cold weather and wind, along side the heating being on. My skin just doesn't like it at all. But I still get the typical oily T-zone, which still gets the occasional dry patch... I know.. How... I don't get it either. My skin is also dehydrated, Which basically means I need to drink more water, Naughty me.

Anyway, back to the product, Even though this is an oil based product, I haven't noticed any difference in the oiliness to my skin with no traces of it left in the morning.
At night I start by cleaning my face and then applying 3 to 4 drops of this to my hands and then rubbing it into my skin, after about 5 minutes it's all nicely soaked into my skin already and then when I wake up in the morning I notice a massive difference in my skin. It feels softer, more plump and has a healthy glow to it. Which if you have dehydrated skin, it's not something you get very often.
I've also noticed a drastic improvement to the dry patches I get around my eyes and cheeks.

The product also claims to be '8h beauty sleep for your skin', Which I will agree with. My skin look less tired when I wake up and it definitely does look rejuvenated. Also, something to note, I don't smell any scents in there, so if scents is something that puts you off then you should be okay.

So far this product gets a definite thumbs up from me and with it only being £12, it isn't too expensive for what it does. It can be bought either in store or online here from the body shop website. Although I'd recommend going in store as they usually have them for sale in little sets which are discounted. I got mine with the Vitamin E intense moisture cream, which is £12 on it's own, and I got both for £16, which I think is rather good!

  1. Ooh I'd love something like this for the "8hr beauty sleep" effect, but unfortunately I'm prone to oily skin and think this would work against me!

    1. I get oily skin as well and I haven't had a problem with it, so you might be okay! Maybe you could work it as like a weekly treatment to just give your skin a bit of a boost! :)
